Welcome, We are so excited you are here.
About Me, The Founder of LILCO
My name is Ashley, and I'm the founder of Living in Light. I'm a wife, mom, former registered nurse, and someone who has experienced God's faithfulness through both the mountaintops and the valleys of life. Like many people, I've walked through seasons of uncertainty, brokenness, waiting, and learning to trust the Lord one step at a time. Through every season, He has continually reminded me that His plans are always greater than my own.
Living in Light was born from a desire to create products that help people keep Jesus at the center of everyday life. But over the years, it's become so much more than planners and stationery. My prayer is that it becomes a place where people feel encouraged, find genuine community, grow in their relationship with Christ, and leave feeling equipped to shine His light wherever He has called them.
Whether this is the first visit to Living in Light or someone has been part of this community for years, I'm truly grateful to have the opportunity to be part of the journey. I hope every product, letter, and conversation serves as a reminder that God is faithful, He is always at work, and no one has to walk through life alone.
I'd love to share a little more about the story behind Living in Light and the heart behind everything we create. Read more below!
As my relationship with the Lord grew, I wanted to intentionally include Him in every area of my life—not just my quiet time, but my goals, finances, habits, schedule, and daily decisions. I searched for a planner that brought all of those things together in one place, but I couldn't find one that truly reflected the way I wanted to live out my faith. That's when the vision for Living in Light began. I created an all-in-one planner to help people become better stewards of the life God has entrusted to them while keeping Jesus at the center of everyday life. Since then, Living in Light has grown far beyond planners. We've expanded our collection to include journals, stationery, The Light Club monthly snail mail, and other faith-centered products designed to encourage people throughout their walk with Christ. My prayer is that everything we create helps people spend more time with the Lord, boldly shine His light, and create opportunities to start conversations about Jesus.
Living in Light has always been an act of obedience before it was ever a business. After our first year, I made the difficult decision to close and completely relaunch because I knew God was calling me to something greater. It meant investing back into the business, taking a leap of faith, and trusting Him even when I couldn't see the outcome. Every decision, product, partnership, and opportunity is prayed over because I want this company to honor Him above all else. My desire is to become more like Christ every day, lead with integrity, humility, and love, and be the light in everything I do. If one person grows closer to Jesus because of something created through Living in Light, then every challenge along the way has been worth it.
To me, Living in Light means choosing to follow Jesus every day—not just on Sundays or when life is easy. It means walking in obedience, trusting Him with the unknown, and allowing His truth to guide every area of life. Living in Light is about reflecting His light so that others see Him through the way I live. My hope is that this community encourages people to keep their eyes fixed on Christ, faithfully steward the life He has entrusted to them, and boldly shine His light wherever He leads.
The lighthouse has always represented Jesus to me. Just as a lighthouse guides ships safely home through the darkness, Jesus is the One who guides us back to Him. No matter how strong the storm or how far someone has wandered, there is always a way back because of Him. The lighthouse also represents the mission behind Living in Light. Jesus tells us that we are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14–16), and 1 John 1:5 reminds us that "God is light." We don't create our own light—we simply reflect His. Every lighthouse throughout the Living in Light collection serves as a reminder to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, reflect His light, and point others back to Him.
Creating these products has strengthened my walk with God in ways I never expected. Before I create a Bible study, write reflection questions, or choose Scripture, I spend time studying God's Word myself. It has challenged me to slow down, seek the Lord first, and allow Him to shape my own heart before encouraging others. The planner has also become one of my favorite tools for stewarding the life God has entrusted to me. I use it to pray over decisions, set God-honoring goals, manage finances, build healthy habits, study Scripture, and create routines that keep Jesus at the center of my day. I created an all-in-one planner because I couldn't find one that included everything I was looking for. It has become much more than a planner—it's a daily reminder that every part of my life belongs to the Lord.
More than anything, I hope people experience Jesus. My prayer is that every Living in Light product encourages intentional time in God's Word and helps build daily rhythms that keep Him at the center of everyday life. I also hope people experience the community we're building. Through The Light Club monthly snail mail, future events, and opportunities to gather together, my vision has always been much bigger than creating products. I want Living in Light to be a place where people feel encouraged, equipped, and supported in their walk with Christ. My hope is that every planner, journal, letter, and resource points people back to Jesus, encourages them to shine His light, and reminds them they are never walking their faith journey alone.
I started The Light Club because I felt like something was missing in today's world. We receive hundreds of emails, texts, and notifications every day, but there's something special about opening the mailbox and finding something meaningful waiting inside. I wanted to bring back the joy of receiving physical mail while filling it with biblical encouragement that points people to Jesus. Each month, I personally write a letter, pray over the theme, and carefully put together every piece that goes into each envelope. We also feature a testimony from one of our readers because I believe there is so much power in sharing what God is doing in our lives. Hearing how He is working through others reminds us that we are not alone and encourages us to keep trusting Him in our own season. The Light Club has become more than monthly mail—it's a growing community of believers encouraging one another to keep their eyes on Christ, share their testimonies, and continue shining His light together.
