There are seasons when following God means choosing a path that looks different from the one the world expects. It may require us to release what feels familiar, trust Him without understanding and believe that He is still working—even when life unfolds differently than we prayed it would.
The theme for September’s Light Club Snail Mail is Set Apart, inspired by Jeremiah 1:5 and Romans 12:2.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” —Jeremiah 1:5
Being set apart does not mean that we are better than anyone else. It means that we belong to God. Our lives have been entrusted to Him, and He calls us to live differently, not by conforming to the patterns of the world, but by allowing Him to transform our hearts and renew our minds.
A Letter From a Season I Never Expected
Most months, I write about previous seasons and share how I can now see the ways God was moving through them. September’s letter is different.
This time, I am writing from the middle of something God is currently walking me through: miscarriage.
In last month’s letter, I shared that I could not wait to tell you a secret. At the time, I never imagined that the story would unfold this way. But even in the grief, unanswered questions and disappointment, God has remained near.
This letter is not about pretending that loss does not hurt or rushing to find a beautiful explanation for something painful. It is about learning to rely on God as my Comforter and trusting the One who already sees the complete story when I can only see the page in front of me.
I am sharing this part of my life because being set apart does not protect us from suffering. It changes where we turn when suffering comes. We can bring our honest grief to Jesus, rest in His presence and trust that our identity and hope remain secure in Him.
What You’ll Receive
September’s Snail Mail was thoughtfully created to help you step away from the noise, spend intentional time with Jesus and reflect on what it means to belong fully to Him.
Inside, you’ll receive a personal letter from me, faith-filled paper goods and guided resources centered on the Set Apart theme. Each piece is designed to encourage time in prayer, Scripture, reflection and intentional planning.
My hope is that this month’s mail reminds you that God knows you personally, has called you by name and can be trusted in every season, even the ones you never expected to face.
If you are currently walking through miscarriage, have experienced pregnancy loss before or are carrying another form of grief, I would be honored to write to you. You do not have to carry it alone.
